Type 63EGLP‑16: Overpressure protection for LP‑Gas & NH₃ tanks, detachable pilot without tank depressurization.
Type 63EGLP-16 pressure relief valves are engineered to prevent overpressure hazards for storage vessels storing liquefied petroleum gas, ammonia and other pressurized media. This model features more economical installation and maintenance expenditure when contrasted with multi-ported direct-operated relief valves. Every valve provides an air relief throughput of 10,540 SCFM. A pair of valves is adequate for tanks with a maximum surface area of 1,574 square feet (30,000 US gallon stub tanks), and three valves are applicable for tanks ranging from 30,000 to 45,000 US gallons with a surface area limit of 2,581 square feet. The exclusive dual-pilot construction allows technicians to separate the pilot assembly for setpoint inspection and routine maintenance without releasing tank pressure, which delivers superior safety and operational simplicity relative to traditional multi-ported relief valves.
